Short answer: Wild Area Sendai runs three days (Fri. Nov. 6 – Sun. Nov. 8), but the Sendai Marugoto Pass covers 2 consecutive days — not all three.
• If you mostly ride the subway, the subway 24-hour pass (¥700) or 36-hour pass (¥1,000) is cheaper (digital tickets via Sendai MaaS, on sale from Oct. 30).
• If you will also ride JR, the Loople Sendai bus, city buses or the Sendai Airport Line, the Marugoto Pass (adults ¥2,930 / children ¥1,470) is an option.
• When you are tired or carrying bags, there is also a taxi: up to ¥2,500 off for first-time Uber users (through Nov. 30, 2026).
Marugoto Pass prices are as shown on the official site (checked 2026-10-19). The site notes that “prices change for tickets sold from March 14, 2026 (Reiwa 8),” so always confirm the latest price and coverage on the official site before you buy.

A rule of thumb: which is cheapest depends on how often you ride and where you go. “Subway only” → a time pass; “JR, buses or Loople Sendai too” → the Marugoto Pass; “tired or lots of bags” → a taxi just for that leg. For the exact conditions of the time passes, see the Sendai City Transportation Bureau / Sendai MaaS information.

④ Sample plans

A. Light: subway + walking

Walk from Sendai Station to Tsutsujigaoka Park, then take the Tozai Line to Nishi Park. A subway time pass is enough.

Station → park (3D) Tozai Line to Nishi Park (3D)

B. Add the Sendai Castle site

Add the Sendai Castle site and the Date Masamune statue by Loople Sendai to a walk around Nishi Park and Jozenji-dori. If you ride JR, buses and Loople, this is where the Marugoto Pass shines.

See the castle site in 3D

C. Tired? Take a discounted taxi

From Nishi Park to AEON Mall Sendai Kamisugi. Up to ¥2,500 off for first-time Uber users (through Nov. 30, 2026).

⑤ Drop your bags first and ride light

If you will be hopping on and off all day, store big bags first. Jikaseimen Kirinji (about 360 m from Kita-Yobancho Station) offers baggage storage — no need to eat there, with or without a reservation, and you pay entirely on your phone (from ¥500).

FAQ
