- Dates: Fri. Nov. 6 – Sun. Nov. 8, 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. daily. Main venue: Tsutsujigaoka Park; gameplay covers all of Miyagi.
- GO Stamp Rally (ticket holders): PokéStops at 7 spots in Sendai (Tsutsujigaoka Park, Daterium, Jukyo Park Sendai Station West, Sendai City Museum, Nishi Park, Nishikicho Park, AEON Mall Sendai Kamisugi). Visit them in any order, 10:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m. (corrected from the 9:00 a.m. first shown). Only on your ticketed day; an Extra Day does not add another.
- Weather (JMA forecast; Nov. 6 issued Nov. 5 at 5:00 a.m., Nov. 7–8 issued Nov. 5 at 11:00 a.m.): Nov. 6 turns sunny from late morning, high 20°C / low 12°C (0–20% chance of rain); Nov. 7 high 12°C / low 6°C (30% chance of rain); Nov. 8 high 11°C / low 6°C — cold (20% chance of rain). Today, Nov. 5, is rainy and clears to cloudy in the evening. Dress warmly (see “Weather”).
- Nishi Park to AEON Kamisugi: by subway it is a detour (change at Sendai Station). On cold or wet days a taxi (about 3.2 km) is the easy way — first-time Uber users get up to ¥2,500 off the total (through Nov. 30).
- Official news post (Nov. 3): the “Location Backgrounds” (Sendai and Mexico City) show on Trainer Profiles from 10:00 a.m. JST on Nov. 6, and the Special Backgrounds plus all past ones from 10:00 a.m. on Nov. 9. It also announced Private Groups for Max Battles, early access to the Field Effects for Sendai • Tohoku ticket holders, GO Safari Ball Pokémon transfers to Pokémon HOME, and a downloadable event map (official news post).
- Extra subway trains (Sendai City Transportation Bureau): Sat. Nov. 7 — the Tozai Line from Arai toward Yagiyama Zoo (2 trains between 8:30 and 9:00 a.m.; a Tohoku University admissions selection that day means crowds). Sun. Nov. 8 — the Namboku Line from Izumi-Chuo toward Tomizawa (2 trains after the Vegalta Sendai home game). The extra trains are not shown in the route search. Leave extra time (the Bureau’s notice).
- The stamp rally anyone can join (started Nov. 3): the “Sendai • Tohoku – Lapras Stamp Rally.” No ticket needed, no end date, 8 spots (Site of Sendai Castle, Sendai Mediatheque, Tagajo Castle Ruins, Sendai Asaichi, Kadonowaki Elementary School Ruins, Shiroishi Castle, Matsushima Park and the Akiu Sato Center footbath). Collect them all for a Lapras encounter with a Sendai Location Background.
- Pokémon × KOGEI exhibition: At the Tohoku History Museum (Tagajo), Oct. 10–Dec. 27. Admission ¥1,600 adults / ¥800 elementary–high school students — a separate ticket from the Wild Area ticket.
- Already running: the Lapras Café at CROSS B PLUS is open, and the subway 24-hour (¥700, adults) and 36-hour (¥1,000, adults) passes are on sale.
- Tickets: Every date sold out on Sept. 30. As of Nov. 4 there is still no official announcement of an additional sale or resale.

The ticket is ¥4,000 (tax and fees included). Add-ons: Battle Ready ¥2,000 / Egg-thusiast ¥2,000 / Extra Day ¥3,000. The official T-shirt is pre-order only (price not announced); there are no on-the-day sales at the venue.

At the venue
There is no event parking — use public transportation. The event runs rain or shine. Restrooms and first-aid rooms are at Tsutsujigaoka Park and Nishi Park. Bring a power bank and dress warmly (the forecast is cold). Information desks: Tsutsujigaoka Park, Daterium, Jukyo Park Sendai Station West, Nishi Park and Nishikicho Park.
Getting around and bags
Mix and match the subway time passes, the Sendai Marugoto Pass and taxis. From Nishi Park to AEON Mall Sendai Kamisugi the trains make a detour (a transfer at Sendai Station), so a taxi (about 3.2 km) is the easy way. First-time Uber users get up to ¥2,500 off (through Nov. 30). Extra subway trains run on the morning of Nov. 7 (Tozai Line) and after the Vegalta game on Nov. 8 (Namboku Line), but expect crowds. You can store bags at Jikaseimen Kirinji (no need to eat there; with or without a reservation; pay on your phone).
Stamp rallies (there are two)
Pokémon GO Wild Area Sendai has two stamp rallies: one for ticket holders and one anyone can join. They are easy to mix up, so here is a side-by-side table.

|---|---|---|

- How to take part: Get close to a stamp rally PokéStop and a stamp rally button appears on the map. Look for the orange stamp icon, then spin the Photo Disc to stamp. You can also see the spots on the in-game “Stamp Rally Map.”
- Reward for ②: Collect all 8 for a Lapras encounter with a Sendai Location Background (a Shiny is possible).
- ① runs 10:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.: two hours longer than the event hours (10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.), and the Timed Research must also be finished by 8:00 p.m.
- 5 of the 8 spots in ② are far away or outside the city: Tagajo Castle Ruins, Kadonowaki Elementary School Ruins, Shiroishi Castle, Matsushima Park and the Akiu Sato Center footbath. Doing all of them in one day is hard — since it has no end date, spread them over several days.
- Not a Pokémon GO event: Miyagi also runs a free digital “Tour Miyagi with Laplace: Sendai–Matsushima Area Stamp Rally” (Oct. 9, 2026 – Jan. 31, 2027, 63 spots). It is separate from the in-game stamp rallies.

Weather and what to wear (Nov. 6–8)
Short answer: it will be cold. The Japan Meteorological Agency forecast has Nov. 8 topping out at 11°C, about 5°C below normal (a high of 16.2°C). Nov. 6 (issued Nov. 5 at 5:00 a.m.) turns sunny from late morning with a high of 20°C. Nov. 7–8 come from the weekly forecast issued Nov. 5 at 11:00 a.m., with a 30% chance of rain on Nov. 7 and 20% on Nov. 8.
| Date | Weather | Rain chance | Low / High |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fri., Nov. 6 | Cloudy, sunny from late morning | 0–20% | 12°C / 20°C |
| Sat., Nov. 7 | Cloudy, sometimes sunny | 30% | 6°C / 12°C |
| Sun., Nov. 8 | Sunny, sometimes cloudy | 20% | 6°C / 11°C |
- Nov. 6: Warm in the daytime (high 20°C), but about 12°C in the morning and it cools after sunset (about 4:33 p.m.). Long sleeves, a light jacket and one more layer. Today, Nov. 5, is rainy and clears to cloudy in the evening (50–90% in the daytime), so the ground may be wet.
- Nov. 7–8: A heavy coat or down jacket, a knit hat, touchscreen gloves and hand warmers.
- The event runs until 6:00 p.m. It is dark and cold after sunset, so travel light by storing your bags — but do not skip the warm clothes.
- Getting around when it is cold or wet: from Nishi Park to AEON Mall Sendai Kamisugi the subway means changing at Sendai Station and walking about 540 m. A taxi (about 3.2 km) is the easy way — first-time Uber users get up to ¥2,500 off the total (through Nov. 30).
